Water treatment

Dishwashing technology and water treatment

For a total hardness of tap water of 3°d or higher, we recommend a water softener for the following reasons:

  • No scale deposits on the dishes
  • No scale deposits in the machine, a significant contribution to maintenance and lifetime
  • Savings in detergent consumption

Why to treat water for washing dishes?

Without water treatment

Raw water with salts and minerals, which deposit in the machine as scale, and cause streaking on the dishes.

DuoMatik water softener

Hardness-causing substances are removed from the water - recommended for dishwashing and utensil dishwashing machines.

Partial demineralisation TE 15/20

Salts and minerals are largely removed - recommended for glasswashing machines depending on local water hardness.

Full demineralisation VE 15/20 - RoMatik reverse osmosis

All salts and minerals are removed from the water - recommended for the cleaning of glasses and rinsing of cutlery - and you'll never have to polish again.

Here's a tip!

Just as with the purchase of your dishwashing machine, you should ask for advice on water treatment. To wash glasses and cutlery without streaking, you need demineralisation or reverse osmosis. Our sales team can gladly come by and measure the water hardness at your location - only then can we make a definitive recommendation. We recommend the MonoMatik and DuoMatik external water softeners for the GS 302, GS 315, GSR 36, GS 502, and GS515, and for all Winterhalter rack conveyor dishwashing machines.
