Jan 2012 - Spring-time Trade Fairs - The Winterhalter warewashing technology experience
At the upcoming international spring-time trade fairs, Winterhalter Gastronom GmbH will be showcasing the total Winterhalter warewashing technology experience. In an “interactive park”, visitors can get an understanding of the influence that innovative machine technology, cleaning products, water treatment and accessories have on warewashing results.

Glasswashing – a 360° solution
In a specially designed interactive “glass washing arena” Winterhalter will be showing which factors are important to achieve brilliantly sparkling and hygienically clean glasses. Machine, water, chemistry and warewasher racks are all decisive elements in the washing result. Visitors will be able to examine fully connected glasswashers of the UC series, equipped with the appropriate racks including slanting racks, which guarantee a good water drain-off. Demonstrations will highlight the effects of various water qualities on washed glasses. A hygiene test will illustrate the level of germs on glasses, especially after polishing with a dishcloth.
Thomas Böhme, International Marketing Manager of Winterhalter, explains: “One of the particular highlights in the glass washing area will no doubt be the endoscopic camera that we have installed in a UC dishwasher. Here, our customers will be able to see inside the washing process and the VarioPower pressure control device. VarioPower controls the water pressure to suit items being washed. Long-stemmed wine glasses, for instance, can easily fall over in the dishwasher because of their shape and the water pressure. Thanks to VarioPower, delicate wine glasses get just as clean with a low washing pressure as robust beer mugs with a high washing pressure.”
Hygiene on a large scale – Interactive area of the MT series
Winterhalter has also designed an interactive area for multi-tank conveyor dishwashers. Stefan Zimmermann, Head of International Product Management, clarifies this: “The contents-controlled zone devices in our MTF series conveyor dishwashers detect unoccupied parts of the conveyor, so that unused zones are automatically switched off during idle times. Resources such as water, detergent, rinse aid and energy are thus used selectively and economically. For the first time, our visitors can see – due to the eye-catching backlit zones – where the dishware is currently located.”
